The latest reports of the Central Bank OF Egypt (CBE) have revealed that the value of total foreign currency hit a record of EGP 269 billion move up by EGP 4.8 billion (1.8%), against EGP 264.1 billion at the end of June.
The banknote of EGP 200 category topped up to EGP 1.193 billion at the end of July, compared to EGP 1.188 billion at the end of June, whereas the banknote of EGP 100 category recorded EGP 109.2 billion July-end, against EGP 107.2 billion in June-end.
The total volume of currency trading outside the CBE hit a record EGP 265.6 billion at the end of July, move up by EGP 4.8 billion against EGP 260.8 billion.
