Regulator Unveils EGP76 bln Egypt’s Annual Telecom Market Revenues by 2020

Eng. Hesham Alayli CEO of National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has revealed that the revenues of mobile phone market will be doubled within the next years to become EGP76 billion.

Alayli asserted on the sidelines of Gulf-Egyptian Investment Formula that the volume of the current telecommunication market is around EGP38 billion annually and it is expected to grow with 100% during the coming phase.

He illustrated that internet and data services will clearly contribute in boosting the sector’s revenues, asserting that the current phase is witnessing highly growth rates of internet service which will reflect on the IT companies’ revenues.
