Vodafone Egypt contracted on Tuesday with more than 40 prominent publishing house in the country such as Dar El Shorouk and Nahdet Misr, seeking to launch an e-library application for smartphones.
‘My Books App’ is Vodafone Egypt’s planned application for smartphones, which will enables users to keep up with the key and latest releases by eminent writers through using credit cards as well as recharging cards to pay for the e-books.
Amwal Al Ghad’s Arabic website has cited Hatem Dowidar – CEO of Vodafone Egypt – as saying on Tuesday: “Mobile subscriptions in Egypt have grown to cross 95 million, which in return shall allow to add more social dimensions as well as other various services to mobile phones.”
