The National Postal Authority – Egypt Post decided to deter plans to launch its new product ‘The Islamic Postal Savings Passbook’ until early 2015.
The postponement decision comes in the light of the extension of the period of validity of the tender offer for the expertise houses to design Egypt Post’s new product.
Chairman of Egypt Post, Dr. Ashraf Gamal El Din stated that the expertise houses have requested to extend the period of validity made to submit the technical and financial tender offers to shape the new product.
Egypt Post decided to extend the period of validity of the tender offer until August 3, noted.
The authority will select the winning expertise house within three months after the deadline, Gamal El Din told Amwal Al Ghad on Thursday. Accordingly, this will result in the delay in the launch of Egypt Post’s Islamic Postal Savings Passbook product, he elaborated.
The new product will be in accordance with the Islamic Shariah.
