Egypt’s leading construction firm, Arab Contractors (AC) will carry out suspended bridge and a tunnel in the fourth phase of Cairo Metro Project in cooperation with Orascom Construction Industries (OCI), at a total cost of EGP 750 million.
The bridge will cost EGP 500 million, and tunnel will cost EGP 250 million, Youm7 newspaper quoted the AC Chairman Mohsen Salah as saying on Wednesday.
The bridge will be completed in two years, the top official added.
The new line will run from the outskirts of the suburb of Sixth of October City through the site of the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) near the Pyramids of Giza, to El-Malek El-Saleh, a district near central Cairo.
