Egypt’s prosecutor general referred Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie and 104 others to criminal court on new charges on Monday.
The Brotherhood leader and others are accused of involvement in violence that took place in Ismailia on 5 July last year leaving three killed and 16 injured. Charges include the use of firearms and the destruction of buildings, banks and police vehicles.
Badie has already been sentenced in a number of other cases, one of which could result in a death sentence. Last August, a Giza court reduced another death sentence faced by the Supreme Guide to life in prison.
