Egyptian Supply Ministry will inaugurate six new branches of consumer complexes before the Holy Month of Ramadan, the minister Khaled Hanafy said on Sunday.
The six new branches will be in four governorates; Beheira, Qalyubia, Al Sharqia, and South Sinai.
The minister made these remarks during inaugurating new consumer complex for fishes in Maamoura, Alexandria governorate.
Hanafy asserted that the ministry has upgraded 500 branches of consumer complexes within the past period.
He noted that the ministry has an expansion plan in establishing new consumer complexes’ branches in governorates to provide food commodities for citizens with affordable prices.
Moreover, the minister added that the prices of all commodities in consumer complexes, branches of wholesale companies as well as all outlets affiliated to the ministry are less than the prices of other markets by 20-25%.
