Egypt’s imports of German Medical Industries worth $175 thousands

Egypt has imported medical industries from German worth EGP 1.2 billion (US$175 thousands) within the first quarter of 2015, a report issued on Thursday revealed.

The report- issued by foreign trade sector in the Ministry of Industry- showed that German tops the list of countries that export medical industries to the Egyptian.

The report stated that Egypt imports of medical industries has increased by 19 % to record around EGP 3.8 billion during  July-April 2015 compared to EGP 3.6 billion during the same period of 2014.

Furthermore, Egypt’s medical industries imports from Switzerland recorded EGP638 million by the end of April while it reached EGP 346 million from France and EGP 269 million from Britain.

Moreover, the report noted that Egypt’s cosmetics imports estimated at EGP400 million during the first quarter while medical supplies imports recorded at EGP 231 million and medicines import registered EGP 3.2 million.
