Suez Canal Authority has received around 31 international investment requests to take part in the waterway development scheme, authority’s head Mohab Mamesh stated during an investment summit Monday.
Mamesh asserted that the authority is waiting for the presidential decree to create a new authority to be in charge of the implementation of the Suez Canal Axis Development project so as to start studying those requests.
Head Mamesh added that all finance sources for the project, whether local or international, are available as it targets attracting the largest number of investors.
Mamesh further added that Egypt needs a bunch of large national projects to enhance economy wheel as it was before in Suez Canal and High Dam projects.
