Egypt to host Africa investment conference next February

Egypt is planning to hold a conference to allure investments to Africa next February in Sharm El-Sheikh, said former Egyptian Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Mona Omar.

Under the auspices of Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the investment event is scheduled for February 20-21, and will be in the presence of the country’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

Around 21 leaders and heads of states are expected to attend the event in addition to the participation of large group of African and foreign investors.

The event aims to showcase and explore the available investment opportunities in the African continent, the Egyptian official said.

Five main topics will be tackled during the conference; the infrastructure and energy projects, the information technology, agricultural products, health, and pharmaceutical industries.
