On Wednesday’s closing session, the EGX lost EGP 2.4 billion as the capital market has amounted to EGP 252.310 billion.
The main index, EGX30 sank 0.99% to close at 4955.31 p. EGX20 inched lower 1.15% to close at 5736.62 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 sagged 0.54% to close at 426.36 p. Price index EGX100 went down 0.53% to close at 778.03 p.
Traded volume reached 71.235 million securities worth EGP 330.818 million, exchanged through 16.808 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 164 listed securities; 119 declined and 31 advanced while 14 keeping their previous levels.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers seizing 74.18% and 3.41% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 27.839 million and EGP 2.427 million, excluding the deals.
On the other hand, non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers seizing 22.42%, with a net equity of EGP 30.267 million, excluding the deals.
EGX’s downwards led by EFG-Hermes Holding (HRHO) which dived 1.14% to close EGP 12.09.
