Egypt’s stocks market rebound Monday with gains of $132.8mn

Egyptian stock market concluded Monday with gains estimated at 1.6 Egyptian pounds (US$132.8 million) on local and foreign selling appetite.

The market capitalisation reached 407.467  billion pounds during the closing session of Monday.

Indices

Egypt’s benchmark index, EGX30 boosted 0.74 percent to 7577.02 points.

The EGX50 EWI index increased by 0.07 percent to 1433.06 points.

EGX20 rose by 0.84 percent to 8180.88 points.

In addition, the mid- and small-cap index EGX70 I went up by 0.02 percent to 366.95 points. The price index, EGX100 hiked by 0.22 percent to 791.63 points.

Turnovers high

On  Monday, the bourse’s trading volume has reached 301.943  million securities, with turnovers closed at 1.433 billion pounds, exchanged through 28.600 thousand transactions.

Also during the closing session,173  listed securities have been traded in; 72 declined,64 advanced; while 31 kept their previous levels.

Investors’ Activities

Local and foreign investors were net buyers on Monday capturing 83.18 percent and 7.6  percent respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of 15.723 million pounds and 65.005 million pounds, respectively, excluding the deals.

On the contrary, Arab investors were net sellers getting 9.22 % of the total market, with a net equity of 80.729 million pounds, excluding the deals.
