Egyptian Chemical and Fertilizers Export Council (CEC) plans sending promotional campaign and organising exhibition for plastics, printing, and packaging in Portugal by the end of 2016.
CEC chairman Khaled Abu El Makarem stated Wednesday that the council is preparing for the campaign in cooperation with Portuguese embassy in Cairo, Egyptian Industrial Modernisation Centre (IMC), and Chamber of Printing and Packaging Industries.
He made these remarks during his meeting with Portuguese ambassador in Cairo Magdalena Fischer in attendance of Executive Chairman of IMC Ahmed Taha and Chairman of Leather Export Council Ahmed Short. The meeting aimed at discussing mutual cooperation opportunities between Egypt and Portugal.
Abu El Makarem added that IMC conducted a study on Portuguese market, cooperation potentials between Egyptian firms and their counterparts as well as the services that it could provide for factories to enter Portuguese market.
The chairman noted that Portuguese side expressed his keenness to invest in Egypt’s Al-Robeky industrial zone for leather tanneries by establishing shoes factory.
