Egypt’s bourse starts week with losses of 1.312 billion Egyptian pounds ($146 million) despite Arab and Non- Arab investors’ selloffs.
Cairo’s main index, EGX30 dropped 0.49 percent, to 7743.41 points.
EGX50 EWI index inched down 0.33 percent, to 1469.2 points; EGX20 also tumbled 0.89 percent, to 8005.26 points.
Mid- and small-cap index EGX70 increased 0.49 percent, to 378.66 points. Price index, EGX100 went up by 0.23 percent to 804.16 points.
Market Caps
Market capitalisation has recorded 414.354 billion pounds during the closing session of Sunday.
Turnovers
On Sunday , the bourse’s trading volume hit 149.454 million securities, with turnovers closed at 370.132 million pounds, exchanged through 16,038 transactions.
Also during the closing session, 165 listed securities have been traded in 84 declined, 41advanced; while 33 kept their previous levels.
Investors’ Activities
Arab and Non-Arab investors were net buyers controlling 8.29 and 9.39 percent respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of 19.040 million pounds and 2.912 million pounds, respectively, excluding the deals.
On the contrary, non-Arab foreign investors were net sellers capturing 82.31 percent of the total market, with a net equity of 21.952 million pounds, excluding the deals.
