Spanish renewable energy company Abengoa has signed Wednesday an agreement with Egypt’s Construction and Design Co. (CONSTEC) to build a desalination plant in Galala Mountain, in Suez.
The Spanish firm studies signing the final contract to start carrying out the Egyptian project within the next four months, CONSTEC’s managing director Talaat Fawzy told Amwal Al Ghad on Wednesday.
CONSTEC and Abengoa seek to complete the studies on the plant project soon in order to sign the final contracts and start works on the plant after four months from now, Fawzy added.
The desalination plant is one of the most important projects in Galala Mountain, the Egyptian official said.
CONSTEC is set to implement the civil and electro-mechanical works for the plant, Fawzy stated.
