A delegation of Belgian businessmen will be visiting Egypt in early May to explore investment opportunities in Suez Canal development axis project, an official announced Saturday.
The delegation will comprise of Belgian businessmen who are very keen to invest in the Suez Canal economic zone, Rafik Attia – Chairman of the Egyptian Belgian Business Association (EBBA) – further said.
Belgium’s investments in Egypt involve chemicals, lighting, construction, and hotel tourism industries, Attia added.
“More than 80 percent of Egypt’s imports from Belgium is in materials and minerals needed for industries, equipment, machineries, and spare parts,” the Egyptian official said.
“Egypt’s exports to the Belgian market are mainly in vegetables, fruits, petroleum products, spinning and textile.” he added.
