Egypt will launch soon a bunch of new land plots in the cities of New El Alamein, northwest of Cairo, and New Mansoura, 128km north of Cairo in the Nile Delta, Housing Minister Moustafa Madbouly said Monday.
The public-private (PPP) land plots are set to be launched for the first time to execute projects in partnership with the state’s private sector and investors, Madbouly further stated.
We (the country) seek to launch new land plots to be sold for investors in a number of new cities,” the Egyptian minister added.
In August 2017, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi issued a decree establishing a new city in Mansoura.
The decree approved the re-allocation of 5,104 feddans or 21.4 million square metres of the state-owned lands to the New Urban Communities Authority to be used in establishing a new urban community, the New Mansoura City.
