BP to increase Egypt’s natural gas output to 1.3 bcf/day

BP Egypt is targeting to increase natural gas production from the West Delta project to 1.3 billion cubic feet per day.

The head of BP Egypt, Karim Alaa said on the sidelines of the 9th Mediterranean Offshore Conference and Exhibition (MOC 2018) that the project will provide 25% of the country’s gas supplies.

Progress on the project’s development is ahead of schedule, Alaa noted.

The Atoll Well, a project that was carried out through a joint venture (JV) with the Pharaonic Petroleum Company produces 350 million cubic feet per day, as well as 10,000 barrels of distillates.
