EGX opens Sunday in green on Local buying
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Sunday’s trading session up on the back of local buying.
By 10:14 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 7.52 points, or 0.05 percent, to 16,641.49 points.
The EGX70 index edged up 12 percent to 859.36 points, while the EGX100 index inched up 0.09 percent to 2,180 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.0.9 percent to 2,899 points.
The bourse’s trading volume reached around 8.8 million shares exchanged at a turnover of 16.9 million pounds through 588 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with 1.9 million pounds, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with 1.109 pounds and 885,180 pounds, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) dipped 0.06 percent to 85.15 pounds.
