Egypt’s net foreign direct investment (FDI) surged to $1.919 billion in the second quarter of 2017-2018 financial year, the central bank said in a statement on Wednesday.
Earlier, net FDI recorded $1.843 billion at the end of September 2017.
Net inflows neared $3.480 billion at the end of second quarter, compared to $3.092 billion in September. Net outflows reached $1.561 billion from $1.250 billion, the central bank added.
