Arab Contractors executing housing buildings works in Egypt new capital

Egypt’s state-run construction firm Arab Contractors is carrying out a bunch of residential buildings in the first phase of the country’s new administrative capital, said its chairman on Saturday.

The residential buildings are being executed in two phases, at a cost of 3 billion Egyptian pounds ($167.5 million), Mohsen Salah told Amwal Al Ghad.

The first phase will include 44 fully furnished buildings, while the second phase is set to comprise 34 more, Salah added.

“We are close to participate in implementing the new capital’s towers area,” he said, adding that Chinese firm CLSD is responsible for establishing the giant towers, the tallest in Africa.

“A number of local companies are set to take part in the towers area within the next period,” Salah said.
