Egypt pays foreign debts of $1.3 bln during H1 of FY 2018/2019
Egypt’s pays foreign debts of $1.3 billion at the first half of FY 2018/2019 compared with $1.2 billion in the comparable period, according to the Central Bank of Egypt.
The CBE also clarified that the net use of external debt was limited to an amount of $827.3 million in FY 2018/2019 compared to $3.5 billion a year earlier.
The disbursement of long-term and short-term loans and facilities declined to $2.2 billion in FY 2018/2019 compared to $4.7 billion a year earlier, according to the balance of payments preliminary data.
