Egypt is looking to establish a gelatine factory, which will be the biggest such factory in the Middle East.
On Monday, Undersecretary of Agriculture Mona Mehrez and advisor to the trade minister Yasser El-Maghrabi met with representatives of a German company that is hoping to establish a gelatine factory in Egypt.
Mehrez said Agriculture Minister Ezzedin Abu Steit fully supports the project, which would help create jobs for youth and open new export markets.
A joint committee of the agriculture and trade ministries will be formed to implement an executive plan for the project, Mehrez said.
She added that the committee will also offer support for partners wishing to invest in Egypt.
