Railways Authority To Implement Radical Changes Soon

The Egyptian National Railways Authority will implement fundamental changes in its sectors in the upcoming period, according to an official at the Authority.

Maintenance sector will witness most of the changes to improve the service and enhance the performance of trains through repairing the breakdowns as the Authority had signed many contracts concerning receiving spare parts.

A source said the Authority waits the approval of the National regulatory Authority over establishing a maintenance sector which will deal with Remas Company and Mahmoud Abdel Salam Company for Maintenance, in accordance with the technical conditions and specifications. The sources noted that the sector earlier existed, but was canceled in 2007.
