Microsoft Grants Egyptian Food Bank Softwares Worth $ 266 Thousands

Microsoft has provided the Egyptian Food Bank, one of the biggest charitable and non-profit organizations in Egypt with software worth more than $ 266 thousands.  This donation is part of Microsoft’s plan for supporting civil society organizations with the aim of reconstructing the Egyptian community. These software will help the Egyptian Food Bank to provide better service for the people.

This grant can be conceived as part of the Microsoft Unlimited Potential Program, launched by Microsoft some years ago, seeking to provide IT skills to 5 billion people around the world. In 2015, the company plans to launch this  program for one billion people. The initiative  is intended to eliminate the digital gap and provide communities with the fundamentals and skills required for using information technology via a number of various programs.

On her part, Ghada Khalifa, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager of Microsoft Egypt, stated that civil society organizations require permanent support from everyone, in order to be able to perfectly perform its vital role in the local community. She added that the Egyptian Food Bank works on providing food for areas deprived from services, highlighting that the advanced productivity tools provided by Microsoft will enhance the performance of the Bank employees.
