The Real-estate fund registers 1.5 million units in 2012

The real-estate fund intends to register 1.5 million units in the Title Register in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and the Title Register, the coming year.

Mai Abd El Hamid, president of the fund, stated that coordination with the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Administrative Development is underway to launch an awareness campaign to educate people of the importance of title registering of their units instead of proxies and authenticity of the signature. She declared that the initiative targets Dokki and Nasr City in the first place and that the campaign’s success would provide a large number of registered units, promoting real estate financing in Egypt.

Mohamed Samir, Vice president of the fund, added that the initiative aims to register a number of 1.5 million unitsm and that communications with the real estate tax departments are in progress, to provide them with unregistered units’ surveys.
