Egypt’s food provider Edita first-half profits rise 63%
Egypt’s largest snack food producer Edita reported a 63.4 percent increase year-on-year in its profits to 167.8 million Egyptian pounds ($10.1 million) during the first half this year
Earlier, net profits stood at 102.7 million pounds during the first half of 2018.
The company’s first-half sales grew to 1.84 billion pounds against EGP 1.67 billion pounds during the same period last year, according to a bourse filling.
Standalone profits surged to 150.6 million pounds during the first six months of the current year, compared with 68.38 million pounds during the same period in 2018.
