Egypt orders facilitating customs procedures for pilgrims
Egypt’s Finance Minister Mohamed Maait ordered facilitating customs procedures for Egyptian pilgrims returning home from Saudi Arabia after completing Hajj rituals.
Chairman of the Egyptian Customs Authority Kamal Negm suspended holidays for staffers at airports, ports, and customs offices till the end of the Hajj season, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement Tuesday.
A state of high alert was also declared in these places, the statement added.
EgyptAir has announced that return flights for Egyptian pilgrims from Jeddah airport will start as of August 14, while pilgrims departing from Medina will start arriving on August 17.
