Acer No 1 In Q2 Notebook Shipments

Acer, has claimed the number one position in notebook shipments worldwide for the second quarter, according to data by market research company Gartner.

Acer’s notebook market share of 15.4 per cent demonstrated growth rates of 1.2 per cent quarter-on-quarter (QOQ) or 6.5 per cent year-on-year (YOY).

In Europe, Middle East and Africa, Acer notebooks regained the number one position with 20 per cent in market share, and representing growth rates of 3.8 per cent QOQ or 22 per cent YOY.

The Gartner data also showed that for total PCs, Acer ranked number three worldwide in the second quarter, with 11.4 per cent in market share.
