Afreximbank signs $30mln loan facility with Angolan Griner Engenharia

African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) signed on Sunday a $30 million Corporate Loan Facility with Griner Engenharia, a leading Angolan construction company, to contribute over $100 million to intra-African trade.

The deal which split into two tranches, is expected to create over 1,500 job positions, which will be strengthening Griner’s commitment to fostering employment opportunities in Angola.

The term sheet was signed by Joao Faria, Board Member of Griner Engenharia, and Kanayo Awani, Executive Vice President of Intra-African Trade Bank at Afreximbank, at the third edition of Africa’s largest trade and investment fair, IATF 2023 taking place in Cairo, Egypt.

Griner Engenharia has an enduring track record of promoting the development of trade supporting infrastructure in Africa throughout its 20-year presence in the continent.
