Africa should maximise its enormous wealth – minister

Egyptian Minister of Social Solidarity Nivine El-Kabbag called on Monday for the African continent to better make use of its enormous wealth in the light of the current global economic downturn caused by the Ukrainian war, which resulted in higher prices and increased poverty rates.

Speaking at Builders of Egypt Forum, El-Kabbag calls for the necessity to get rid of the huger in Africa, which contains the largest world reserves of uranium and copper as it has 40 percent of the gold and 65 percent arable land.

In addition to that, the continent needs many development plans in infrastructure, marine lines, railways, and aviation, she added.

African countries have to preserve their rights and work on the safety terms to prevent the unemployment and injury risks, El-Kabbag explained.
