Al-Jarahi appoints as deputy chairman for GASC

Egypt’s Prime Minister has appointed Hossam Ahmed Al-Jarahi as deputy chairman of the board of directors for the General Authority For Supply and Commodities (GASC), the Egyptian Mercantile Exchange (EMX) told Amwal Al Ghad English on Thursday.

Since December 1, 2023, Al-Jarahi has served as the exchange’s CEO and managing director, providing substantial expertise in banking and financial markets.

The process of selecting the new CEO and managing director of the EMX will take place during the first meeting of the newly established board of directors.
