Alex Bank Says Profits Hit EGP349 mln by H1/2013

Alex Bank Intesa Sanpaolo reported profits totaled EGP 349.3 million by the first half of 2013, compared to EGP 343.9 million during the same period a year earlier, representing a rise of 1.5%.

The bank’s deposit portfolio increased to EGP 33.7 billion at the end of last June, compared to EGP 33.5 billion at the end of last December 2012, reporting an increase of 0.6%.

The bank’s loans and credit facilities dropped to EGP 19.3 billion at the end of last June, compared to EGP 19.4 billion at the end of last December 2012, registering a decrease of 0.7%.
