Egyptian state-run Alexandria Petroleum Company’s output reached 33.9 billion Egyptian pounds ($1.9 billion) during the financial year 2016/2017, its chairman Medhat Bahgat said Tuesday.
The Egyptian official earlier made his remarks during a meeting with rge county’s Minister of Petroleum Tarek El-Molla, attended by head of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) Abed Ezz El-Regal.
In addition, Alexandria Petroleum refined 4.5 million tonnes of high-quality oil products to meet the domestic needs of diesel, butane gas, naphtha, and asphalt.
Founded in 1954, Alexandria Petroleum is a state-owned oil refinery firm operating in producing and exporting petroleum products in Egypt.
