Apple releases software update to make it easier to use iPhones with face masks on

Apple has on Wednesday released a software update, iOS 13.5, which makes it easier to use iPhones with face masks on.

The iPhone’s facial recognition system, known as Face ID, cannot unlock a phone if the user’s mouth and nose are covered. However, after the new update, when the users swipe up to unlock their phone with a mask on, it will immediately display a screen that lets them input their password. Previously, there was a slight delay as the phone attempts to scan the user’s face again.
