Arab States seized 53.4 percent of Egypt’s total non-petroleum exports in October 2015 with US$660 million, trade minister Tarek Qabil said Thursday.
He stated that Egypt’s non-petroleum exports to Arab States have increased by 13 percent during October 2015 compared to US$583 million in October 2014.
Following Arab states, the European Union countries were the second largest importer of Egyptian non-petroleum exports in October 2014, with imports estimated at US$332 million versus US$407 million, marking 18 percent decline.
The African non-Arab states were the third largest importers of Egyptian non-petroleum products worth US$104 million in October 2015 opposed to US$94 million a year earlier.
The minister clarified that Egyptian non-petroleum exports to USA recorded US$86 million versus US$83 million, registering 83 percent growth.
Moreover, Egypt’s non-petroleum exports to other states are estimated at US$236 million, minister Qabil said.
