Armed People Close Electoral Poll In Qalyoubia

Armed people closed an electoral poll no.57 in Sulaymaniyah village in southern Shebin El Kanater, Qalyoubia, preventing the supervising judges and representatives from entering the poll, as they protest on the security’s negligence on a man shot in the village while doer was not arrested.

This incident was provoked by a dispute between a family in the village and another in the neighboring Gaafra village over a farming land. A woman from Sulaymaniyah was shot and both families exchanged shots till today morning. People were enraged because the doers fled without being arrested, and accordingly they decided to close the polls and prevent people from voting till the arrest of the offenders.

Army officers could not arrest those protestors. Police officers cordoned off the village.
