Attempt To Storm National Bank Of Egypt Thwarted, Police Officer Shot Dead

First Lieutenant Mahmoud Ahmed Abul Ezz Nassef, chief of Masr al-Qadima Patrol, was shot dead by masked men when he attempted to detain them for attempting to break into the National Bank of Egypt (NBE).

Masr al-Qadima Police Station was informed that a number of masked men attempted to break into the National Bank of Egypt’s branch in Masr al-Qadima. Mahmoud Ahmed Abul Ezz Nassef and a number of police officers went there, but the assailants escaped. The chief of Masr al-Qadima Patrol suspected a Suzuki car and when he approached, one of them shot him dead and then they ran away.

The car was seized by the police and the public prosecution was notified to start investigations.
