Attijariwafa Bank Egypt pumps EGP 505m into issuance of 3 securitisation bonds

Attijariwafa Bank Egypt has pumped a total of 505 million Egyptian pounds into three securitized bond issuances during 2020.

The bank acted as a co-underwriter of the first securitised bond issuance valued at 545 million pounds by Tanmeyah Micro Enterprise Services, a subsidiary of the Egyptian Financial Group Hermes Holding (EFG Hermes), by contributing 100 million pounds.

Moreover, the lender contributed 85 million pounds to the 562 million pounds securitised bond issuance backed by receivables from three of Raya Holding’s subsidiaries, namely, Raya Electronics, Aman Financial Services, and Aman Microfinance.

Attijariwafa Bank – Egypt also participated in the largest local currency bond issuance in Egypt, by contributing 320 million pounds  to the fourth securitised bond issuance of El Taamir Securitisation Company, the securitisation special purpose company of New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA)
