Bankdhofar To Unveil Five-Year Strategic Plan

BankDhofar is currently putting the finishing touches to its five-year strategic plan. As part of this, the bank recently held a conference to enable its senior management team to come together and prepare for further business growth and sustainability.

The strategic plan will cover major business units including retail banking and wholesale banking and will focus on stable growth in the market, while improving service, quality and operations of the bank overall.

The team discussed their new vision to be the best bank in the Gulf with individual project managers presenting a detailed plan for implementation to achieve this goal.

As part of this vision the bank is planning on a major upgrade to its branches which will take the bank to a new level and will offer advanced banking services and a better customer experience overall. The plan explores ways to enhance the customer experience and ensures superior customer service and convenience for all.

In addition BankDhofar is the first bank in Oman to introduce the balanced scorecard. This year the scorecard was introduced for the senior executives of the bank and will be cascaded to the entire Bank in the future. Another initiative that supports BankDhofar to become the best bank in the Gulf.

Speaking at the conference, Tony Mahoney, CEO, BankDhofar said, “It is an exciting time as we prepare ourselves to begin a new era and a new plan to give us a fresh perspective and direction.

The conference is the first of a series of meetings, which aim to take forward the strategic plan and ensure its success.
