Banque Du Caire’s portfolio of loans and credit facilities (including corporate and SME finances) reached EGP 11.7 billion at the end of last November.
Sources said the political turmoil has slowed the economic activities which accordingly affected the value of finances offered during the last period. The portfolio registered an increase of 2.6% (EGP 300 million) during the first four months of FY 2012/2013.
Banque Du Caire targets to increase the portfolio by 20% during the current fiscal year, sources added.The bank plans to restructure SME finance sector as it aims at increasing the value of SME finance portfolio to EGP 8 billion during the next three years.
It is worth mentioning that Banque Du Caire holds the largest micro-enterprise finance portfolio among banks in Egypt.
