Banque Misr: 4 ATMs Ruined, 40 Branches Closed on Security Crackdown

An Official source in Banque Misr said 4 Automated Teller Machines (ATM) were smashed yesterday in the light of dispersing the Cairo protests in Rabaa Al-Adawiya mosque and Nahda square.

The source has further asserted to Amwal Al Ghad that these attacks did not affect the money located inside the ATM Machines.

Consequently, Banque Misr decided to shut down 40 branches yesterday mostly including Giza, Dokki, Nasr City, the source noted.

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has reduced the working hours yesterday to close the branches of the banks on 12 o’clock noon then the work is suspending today due to the unrest situation which controlled Egypt.
