Banque Misr Disbursed EGP 313.6 Mln Worth Of Yellow Remittances

Banque Misr disbursed EGP 313,607,089 worth of 90, 293 yellow remittances in the fifth month of disbursing such remittances through its 120 branches.

The National Bank of Egypt (NBE), Arab African International Bank, Alex Bank Intensa Sanpaolo and Banque Misr are disbursing US$ 408.38 million, the value of yellow remittances owed by Iraq to 670 thousand Egyptian workers who left the country in the 1990s during the Gulf war.

The Ministry of Workforce and Immigration announced that the required documents for disbursing yellow remittances are the original remittance or the passport in which it is documented the value of remittances.
