Barclays Contributes EGP3mn to Develop Slum Areas in Egypt

Barclays Egypt will contribute 3 million Egyptian pounds to combat the slums phenomena in Egypt under the initiative of Federation of Egyptian Banks (FEB), finance director Mohamed Sherif told Amwal Al Ghad.

Sherif further stated that Barclays Egypt’s board allocated more than EGP 6 million for Corporate Social Responsibility and donations, including 48% for the FEB’s initiative for the development of slum areas in Egypt.

Furthermore, the banking official referred that Barclays Egypt is studying all the details about the ‘Long Live Egypt’ Fund so as to take the appropriate decision.
