Bedaya Centre discusses establishing new tech startups in Alexandria

Bedaya Centre for Entrepreneurship and SMEs Development, an affiliate of the Egyptian General Authority for Investment (GAFI), is participating in a workshop in the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. The workshop is organised by the Academy of Scientific Research and Misr El Kheir Foundation.

Mohamed Khodeir, head of GAFI asserted the importance of creating a business-friendly investment climate by providing technical and financial support to small-sized industries in the country.

From his part, Mohamed El Biesi, Head of Bedaya Centre, said that the workshop aims at tackling entrepreneurship status in Alexandria, Egypt’s second biggest city, as well as developing a new vision of cooperation with main players in the entrepreneurship sector.

A number of Egyptian ministries’ representatives partook in the event including ministries of industry and communications in addition to representatives of institutions and initiatives like Nahdet El Mahrousa and hackerspace.
