BlueBay to develop Utopia Hotel with US$6 mln

Spain’s BlueBay Group aims to develop Utopia Beach Club El Quseir Marsa Allam Alawith total investments of EGP 50 million (US$ 6.3million), Blue Bay-Egypt Chairman Gehad Elghazali said Thursday.

The chairman said that the development processes would include 320 rooms and set to be finished in 2016.

Marsa Allam is a town in south-eastern Egypt, located on the western shore of the Red Sea.

BlueBay Group undertakes a unique project on a global level in Marsa Alam, Egypt. The result will be the largest resort in the world that will have 100 boutique hotel establishments and the first phase will begin in 2018. The large hotel complex will also feature Spa and Wellness centers, a racecourse and horse livery service, business center, recreational and children’s centers, theater, beach club and spacious outdoor areas.

In turn, the project will develop a large shopping center in the tourist city that will feature over 300 commercial premises with top global brands, a spacious restaurant area with varied international cuisine and cinemas. The mall, which completes the leisure offer of the project, will have an influx of 30,000 people a day.

BlueBay Hotels & Resorts has become the first Spanish hotel chain to integrate directly and, thanks to its own development, all its hotels in the instant reservation system Instant Booking by TripAdvisor, global leader in tourist information, with 340 million unique visitors per month, plus more than 225 million views and comments on more than 4.9 million accommodations, restaurants and attractions.
