Borg El Arab Airport to hold Egypt’s 1st eco-friendly terminal

Borg El Arab Airport is set to hold Egypt’s first ever eco-friendly terminal, according to the Egyptian Holding Company for Airport and Air Navigation said earlier this month.

According to the company, the construction work is set to end by the beginning of 2024.

The terminal is expected to increase the airport’s passenger capacity to reach 6.5 million passengers a year.

It will reduce carbon emissions with the usage of solar-generated electricity and VRV air conditioning systems.
