Building Materials Exports Achieved EGP 24.6 bln In 2012

Building Materials Sector acquired the first rank among the non-petroleum industrial sectors, which highly exported to other countries, throughout the period from January to September 2012. Its exports recorded EGP 24.6 billion.

The exports of Egyptian building materials, according to source to Amwal Al Ghad, retreated by 5.5% in the foreign trade sector, compared to the exports at the same period in 2011, recording EGP 26 billion.

The markets of Arab countries received EGP 11.3 billion Egyptian exports of building materials. Saudi Arabia received EGP 3.7 billion out of this value, while the European Union reached EGP 3.6 billion. As per South Africa, it received EGP 2 billion Egyptian exports of building materials.
