Cairo governorate to implement a plan worth $ 11 million to develop neighborhoods

Cairo governorate is set to press ahead with a new plan to develop and utilise main roads and squares in scattered neighborhoods within Egypt’s capital city, an insightful source reported.

The source said that the new plan is worth 100 million Egyptian pounds (US$ 11 million); it includes developing number of major neighborhoods in the northern and southern regions in addition to paving new roads, erecting new bridges and doubling new foot bridges.

He told Amwal Al Ghad that the new plan comes as pursuant to governorate approach to double the budget of the roads and bridges directorate.

The soon to be developed neighborhoods encompass the Down town, Gesr Al Suez, Mosset Al Zakah axis, number of neighborhoods in the west district and Cornish Al Nile.
