Cairo to make $750 mln debt payment to foreign oil firms on Jun. 1

Egypt will make a debt payment worth $750 million to international oil companies next June 1st, the country’s central bank governor Tarek Amer announced Tuesday.

Egypt has already paid $750 million in dues for the international oil companies, Amer added in a press conference.

Egypt has outstanding dues of about $3.5 billion to international oil and gas companies.
